San Andreas, CA — Three people have been arrested after a methamphetamine lab was discovered in their back seat.
Calaveras County deputies saw the suspects siphoning gas from a parked vehicle on North Lombardi Drive Thursday.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of the meth lab in the back seat.
David Johnson of Stockton and Connie Rutter of Rio Vista were arrested and booked at the Calaveras County Jail for drug related charges. Ira Tankovick of Isleton was arrested on a parole violation.
Before the arrests, the deputies had been in route to assist the Calaveras Narcotics Unit with removal of a commercial marijuana grow operation. That investigation is ongoing and the size of the grow has not been determined.
