San Andreas, CA — Louie Salamy of San Francisco is recovering from injuries he received after a collision Thursday in San Andreas.
The CHP says the 54-year-old chose the wrong course of action to avoid a collision while he was driving a 1999 Harley Davidson.
Salamy was following 53-year-old Barbara Ealy of San Andreas on Highway 49 near Murray Creek when Ealy stopped to make a left turn. The CHP says instead of slowing down to stop, Salamy chose to pass Ealy on the left over the double yellow lines. The two collided.
Salamy suffered a possible dislocated right shoulder. He was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment.
