San Andreas, CA — 59 year old Linda Crawford of San Rafael sustained major head injuries when her 2004 Honda Civic failed to negotiate a downhill right hand curve on Hwy 4 two miles east of O´Byrnes Ferry Rd. Sunday afternoon.
According to C.H.P. reports, Crawford locked her brakes and slid into a guardrail. Her Honda then veered across both lanes of traffic and traveled up a steep dirt embankment where it overturned. Fire Department personnel had to remove the roof of the car to extricate Crawford. Crawford was reportedly driving in a reckless manner fifteen minutes prior to the accident which occured at 3:30.
She was life-flighted to Modesto´s Doctors Hospital where she was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Her car was totaled.
