San Andreas, CA — The storms that pounded the Mother Lode this April left Calaveras County with $1 million in needed repairs.
Public Works Director Rob Houghton says those repairs, totaling 44 projects, are well underway. The county will need to contract out for seven of those projects.
20 of the projects have been competed so far. The county is eligible for state and federal assistance and has been pursuing grants to that effect.
It is expected funds can be secured for close to 94 percent of the repair costs.
