Sonora, CA– With rain and heavy winds already trickling into the Mother Lode, it may be time to start thinking about getting a flu vaccination to keep those winter blues away.
Tuolumne County Health officer Todd Stolp says October is the time to be vaccinated for those who are: over 60-year-old, pregnant, children ages six months to five years, people who care for the elderly or have young children, and those suffering from a chronic disease.
He says in November, all others, especially those over the age of 50 should receive a flu vaccination. Flue vaccinations can be given through a local health care provider or the health department.
