Murphys, CA– A Modesto man faces several charges after an enforcement stop Thursday.
Calaveras County officials say 55-year-old Danny Morrison was stopped for a non operable rear license plate lamp on Highway 4 and Laurence Street in Murphys. Morrison was driving without a driver´s license and had a valid Tuolumne County misdemeanor warrant.
During the search of the vehicle, a baseball bat, burglary tools, an ounce of marijuana and over $4,800 in cash were found. The bat was in the passenger seat of the vehicle, in reach of Morrison.
Morrison was booked for possession of a deadly weapon, possession of marijuana for sales, transportation of marijuana, possession of burglary tools, and driving without a driver´s license. He is being held on $70,000 bail and awaits arraignment.
