San Andreas, CA — A group of local bicyclists appeared before the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Monday to ask for help fixing a local road.
The group says the recent chip seal done on Murphys Grade Road is causing safety issues.
Bruce Castle presented a power point presentation detailing sections of the road with uneven edges and no white stripe between the road and shoulder.
Public Works Director Rob Houghton asked the group to be patient as work is ongoing. He says the contractor is fixing problem areas and will paint the white stripe within the next two weeks.
