San Andreas, CA — Four elected officials in Calaveras County received a nice holiday present in the way of a raise Monday.
The assessor, auditor, clerk and tax collector share identical salaries.
Monday the Board of Supervisors agreed to a 6.25 percent pay raise for the group.
Human Resources Director Francine Osborn says the boost was based on a salary survey of comparable counties.
Supervisor Steve Wilensky voted against the action.
The increase is expected to cost the county close to $23,000.
