Fire Season Remains Alive In Southern California

San Bernardino National Forest, CA — Fire season may be history for this year in the Mother Lode but no so in southern California.

Firefighters are still working to knock down a brush fire in the San Bernardino National Forest near Yucaipa. Officials say the blaze has burned 125 acres and is 40 percent contained. The fire flared up late Tuesday night in difficult-to-access terrain near Yucaipa Ridge.

No homes appear to be threatened and no evacuation orders have been issued. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
