Original post at 11:21 a.m.: Glencoe, CA – A solo vehicle crashed into a tree on Highway 26 in the Glencoe area of Calaveras County, blocking the roadway, and serious injuries are reported.
First responders are on the scene with CHP officers directing traffic after a vehicle went off the highway near Lower Dorray Road and smacked into a large fir tree just after 9 a.m. It is unclear how many occupants were inside the vehicle. An ambulance has been called in as the CHP reports major injuries in this collision.
Motorists may want to avoid the area and find an alternative route, as there is plenty of activity in the vicinity. We’ll pass along new details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
