West Point, CA — Roughly 25 square miles in the District 2 Supervisor area was rezoned Monday by the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors.
With the exception of a few community centers, the area was changed from unclassified to residential agriculture with five, 10, 20 and 40-acre minimum densities.
One community member says the people of the district want the change while they develop their own more specific community plans.
Supervisor Tom Tryon says the change makes the zoning consistent with the General Plan.
