Sonora, CA — Supporters of the Sonora High Football team are planning to gather in downtown, near Courthouse Park, early Friday morning to give the players a grand send-off.
Parents and other community members will be holding signs, ringing bells, and cheering as the bus drives by. It will be an early departure, as the bus plans to leave at 6 am. Community members are invited to arrive ahead of time and take part.
In a battle of undefeated teams, Sonora High will face Rio Hondo Prep on Saturday at 11:30 am at Saddleback College in Southern California. Tickets are now available online by clicking here. The price, including all fees, is $16.75 for adults, $11.50 for general students and seniors, and $6.25 for students of Sonora and Rio Hondo.
The game will air live on AM 1450 and 102.7 KVML, with the audio streamed on myMotherLode.com.
