Angels Camp, CA –Several people are in jail following a long list of crimes committed at the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in Calaveras County.
From June 16th through the 20th more than 30 calls were made for police assistance at the fairgrounds ranging from a child being left in a car, to an explosive device thrown at a storage area.
Several people were arrested in unrelated cases for the possession and sale of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Other arrests included the possession of ecstasy, marijuana, and public intoxication.
One woman was taken into custody for battery on a peace officer, while others swam in fountains on private property.
An ambulance responded when two people called 911 stating they were overdosing on Mushrooms and were going to die, they were not aware of their location and proceeded to drive to the Glory Hole Store to wait for help.
Just under $3,000 was taken as evidence from those who were selling drugs at the event.
