Jamestown, CA – A fatal crash in Jamestown on Thursday night involved an off-highway vehicle on private property.
Although the CHP has not yet provided a specific time, they report that on Thursday, December 11, 2025, a 66-year-old man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was riding a Yamaha off-highway vehicle near Pulpit Rock Road, off Rawhide Road. The CHP states that for unknown reasons, the rider allowed the Yamaha to go down an embankment, resulting in the rider being ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle then landed on top of him, causing life-threatening injuries. They added, “Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash.
The rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.” The driver’s identity is not being released pending notification of the next of kin.
