Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department is investigating the discovery of some explosives in a Jamestown residence.
Sonora Police say a very upset woman showed up at the department headquarters yesterday saying she had a bag of bombs in her car.
The woman reportedly took officers to her vehicle where she showed them a sealed canvas bag in the trunk. She told police she was cleaning a Jamestown house when she came across the explosives.
Police secured the bag and called members of the Calaveras County bomb squad who determined that the bag contained a six-inch live pipe bomb and materials to manufacture another.
Sonora Police turned the case over to the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department for investigation.
