Copperopolis, CA — Two Copperopolis men have been arrested after police served a search warrant on a residence on Cheyenne Road.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department says about $4500 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered from the home of Gary Santos. Police say they found 1000 antique Italian floor tiles, pressurized gas cylinders and other shop-type equipment.
Authorities arrested 24-year-old Anthony Smith and 21-year-old John Curtis Kolb and charged the men with burglary and possession of stolen property.
At the time of Smith´s arrest, police say they recovered more stolen property, bringing the total monetary value of the items to about $6000.
The Sheriff´s Department says 27-year-old Caleb Mallory of Copperopolis is also being sought for questioning. Anyone knowing Mallory´s whereabouts is asked to call the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
