Update: Power Outage Impacts Downtown Sonora

Update at 11:08 am: PG&E reports that full restoration for the remaining 65 customers is now 4:30 pm.

Update at 9:19 am: All but 65 customers have been restored in downtown Sonora from a power outage that started shortly after 6:30 am. PG&E reports that damaged equipment was located and the company is making needed repairs. The remaining customers should be restored by 11:15 am.

Original story posted at 6:58 am: Sonora, CA — 462 PG&E customers lost electricity at around 6:34 am.

The company reports that it is evaluating the electrical system to see if there are any damaged sections so that repairs can be made to restore electricity.

Full restoration is anticipated by 11:15 am. It is impacting areas around the downtown business district, including Washington Street, Stewart Street, West Stockton Street, West Jackson Street, North Norlin Street, Barretta Street, and many other surrounding side streets.
