Washington, DC — A fallen Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputy will be honored at a candlelight vigil to be held in Washington D.C.
Deputy Sheriff David Paul Grant will be among several California law enforcement officers to be honored in a ceremony this Friday night at the National Law Enforcement Officer´s Memorial in Washington DC.
The memorial commemorates the service and sacrifice of more than 17,000 public safety officers killed in the line of duty. California is ranked number 2 in law enforcement deaths behind the state of Texas.
The vigil at the memorial is part of National Police Week. 415 new names will be added to the memorial.
