Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council is looking into ways to enforce noise ordinances and is planning on joining with police to set up noise traps for loud music coming from vehicles and also custom mufflers that disturb both residents and businesses.
Councilors brought up the fact that previously the high school was singled out as one of the leading causes of the noise, however people have spoken up to say that business owners have noticed a rise in disturbance when students are in school.
Greg Applegate with the city says that measures have been taken against people violating the laws and some have even been cited for other violations once they are pulled over.
