The California Lottery Commission has moved one step closer to bringing the mega-millions lottery to the state.
The commission approved the games rules and regulations yesterday and will begin testing the game´s software in about a month. That could take a month or longer.
State officials are expecting the mega-millions lottery to increase revenues by as much as 500-million dollars withing the first year of play.
However opponents say they will be asking the legislature to intervene, saying that voters approved a state lottery, not the state´s participation in multi-state gaming.
