Wednesday Morning snow was falling in the Crystal Falls with heavy amounts reported in Twain Harte. Snow tires and chain requirements were found as low as Soulsbyville Road on Hwy 108 and Hanford Hill on Hwy 4.
Snow was falling so heavily Wednesday morning in the Pinecrest Rd area that Telephone lines were reported sagging across the roadway
An Oak Tree was reported down on Algerine Rd and blocking the entire road near Rocha Ranch. Another tree blocked Dogtown Road near the intersection of Holtzel. To make matters worse for the morning commute a mud slide blocked the south bound lanes of Parrots Ferry Road near Marble Quarry Rd. Other traffic hazards were found on O´Byrnes Ferry Road near the Lake Tullock Bridge and at the intersection of J-59 and Bonds Flat Road.
A mud slide occurred on Hwy 4 near Copperopolis blocking one lane of the highway for a brief time. Mud also blocked Hwy 140 leading into Yosemite National Park. An Oak Tree fell across Priest Grade near the Old Priest Grade Jct. Work crews worked quickly to remove the tree from the roadway. Localized heavy flooding was reported at Mono Way and Sanguentti Loop Rd as well as several locations in San Andreas. Numerous traffic collisions were reported in both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties
PG&E reported 80 customers were without power in Mi Wuk Village and its crews were working quickly to restore electricity.
