Forecasters say more winter weather will continue to move through the Sierra today. A winter storm warning is in effect for about a foot of new snow around Lake Tahoe´s shoreline with up to three feet at the higher elevations. Strong winds also are expected, with gusts to 100 miles an hour over the ridges, creating whiteout conditions. A mixture of rain and snow is expected in the western valleys today, with snow reaching the valley floors by afternoon. More than three feet of snow fell Saturday night and early Sunday on the higher Sierra peaks.
