SAN FRANCISCO (AP) __ The San Francisco Zoo´s last elephant left this week for a sanctuary in the Calaveras County.
Zoo officials said they were sad to see Lulu go Thursday.
Two other elephants that used to live in the zoo died last year, bringing the zoo pressure from animal rights activists and the city to send its remaining elephants larger sanctuaries such as the one in Calaveras County.
