Several Mariposa area school children were in Yosemite Valley this week participating in a program designed to brings students into the country´s national Parks.
A park spokeswoman says several groups, including Mariposa Rotary clubs, the Yosemite Fund, the Ansel Adams Gallery and others have raised money to help fund the program . More than 800 Middle School and High School students are expected to visit the Park from the Mother Lode through the program between now and June. Students are treated to spectacular scenery and a variety of educational programs after arriving in the Park. The program also features educational hikes and classes on resource management issues.
