A Rail Road Flat school bus was involved in an accident on Highway 26 just before 1 o´clock Friday afternoon.
The CHP reports that the accident occurred in wet and snowy conditions. Officer M.J. Fiscus says a motorist was travelling eastbound on the highway driving a T-Bird while the bus was travelling westbound. Snow was falling steadily and up to two inches of fresh powder had accumulated on the roadway. The bus crossed over the road´s double yellow lines as both vehicles approach a curve. The two vehicles collided and the T-Bird left the roadway. The school bus did not have any students on board at the time of the accident. Neither driver was injured.
