Published Feb 12, 2026 5:32 pm

Copperopolis, CA—Later this month, a bicycle race in the Copperopolis area of Calaveras County will disrupt traffic.

The Annual Copper Valley Circuit Race is being held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The race is along Little John Road, beginning at the Copperopolis Town Square off Highway 4 and stretching from Reeds Turnpike to half a mile north of Quiver Road, which is near Copper Cove Drive.

Calaveras County Public Works asks motorists to obey all traffic control signs and instructions from onsite personnel. To avoid delays, travelers and residents can use O’Byrnes Ferry Road as an alternative to enter the subdivision. For more information on the race, contact VeloPromo LLC and Golden Chain Cyclists at (209) 604-1354.
