Water distribution managers are warning growers to brace for reduced water supplies in spite of a far-above-average Sierra snowpack.
On Friday officials with the Central Valley Project announced that they will deliver 60-percent of contract amounts to agricultural customers. A C-V-P official says they must hold back some water to meet environmental goals, but will monitor snowfall for the duration of winter to see if they can boost water deliveries.
