It was an extended public hearing on the Sierra Meadows subdivision Wednesday night at the Tuolumne County Administration Center.
It started at 7pm, lasted for four hours, and the Planning Commission deliberated for some time after that on the subject of creating the 47-lot Sierra Meadows subdivision. Bev Shane, Tuolumne County´s Community Development Director, said Thursday that Commissioner Shelley Davis King recused herself from the discussion, because of an apparent conflict of interest. The six remaining commissioners ended up in a tie: three against, and three in favor of supporting the plan.
Shane says the tie means the measure didn´t pass, and the project will go to the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors for a public hearing with no recommendation from the Planning Commission.
