Officials at the Sierra Conservation Center say the water emergency at the state´s 2nd largest prison complex is now much less severe.
Things have vastly improved, thanks to some additional filtering equipment that´s been installed.
Showers and drinking water are mostly back to normal now, and the only remaining task is to perform some maintenance work on the old filtering system.
Damage was caused when sediment flowed into the filters during the recent heavy rains.
