The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors have approved a proposal to bump up the starting time of board meetings from 10 to 9 a.m.
The new schedule goes into effect at the end of February. 4th. District Supervisor Tom Tryon says the board is also still considering taking meetings on the road, periodically conducting them at various communities in the county. Tryon opposes the idea, but the proposal appears to have the support of the other four supervisors. Calaveras County Counsel James Jones was directed to explore the legality of the plan and the matter is likely to be given full consideration at a future meeting.
