Kiwanis Open Air Market To Raise Money For Youth & Senior Projects

Sonora, CA — The Kiwanis Club of Greater Sonora is sponsoring an Open Air Market every weekend at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora.

There were several vendors set up on Saturday morning, some said they were regulars, while others said it was their first time participating.

Spokesperson Cathie Peacock says vendors should get there early because spaces fill up quickly. She categorizes the market as a huge yard sale where vendors can sell whatever they want.

Peacock says the cost is $16 to register a booth and organizer Al Smith will often loan out spaces to charity or non-profit groups. The registration money goes to the Kiwanis Club, which uses it for youth and senior programs.

Peacock encourages people to bring the whole family and even dogs are ok as long as they are on leashes.
