Sonora, CA — CHP says a Sonora teen was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday night.
Officers say 19-year-old Christopher Brinkley was riding north on Timothy Drive south of Willow Springs Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the bike.
CHP says Brinkley left the roadway and hit several mail and newspaper boxes before flying into a drainage ditch.
Authorities say Brinkley was then thrown from the motorcycle and hit a utility pole.
Brinkley died a short time later at Sonora Regional Medical Center.
