Modesto, CA — Motherlode residents who travel to Modesto may want to consider investing in anti-theft devices for their cars.
Figures released by the insurance industry and the Modest Police Department show that the city leads the country in auto thefts.
Statistics are showing an increase of 55% in the first six months of this year over the same period two years ago.
Police say almost 1700 cars were stolen between January 1st and June 30th.
