Sonora, CA — Investigators have cracked the case of the stolen “Three Wishes” video camera.
On Tuesday Sonora High School Resource Officer Mike Christ and investigator Hal Prock went to a home on Saratoga Street to talk to a suspect in regards to the theft on July 5th.
They talked to the suspect´s wife, who said that her husband Mark Serpa had brought a video camera home a while back but said he found it. The officers made contact with Serpa later on and he finally admitted to breaking into the announcer´s booth and stealing the camera.
Although authorities have the thief, they don´t have the camera. Serpa claims he sold the camera to another person, who is currently in the Midwest. Serpa was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County jail and the investigation is continuing in an attempt to recover the camera.
