San Andreas, CA — CDF reports that seven engines responded to a woodland fire Saturday afternoon.
CDF Spokesman Craig Hart says the blaze began at about 3:00 in the afternoon and charred about 12 acres on Highway 49 at Carson Hill Mine near Angels Camp.
One CDF air attack and two air tankers also responded along with one water tender, a bull dozer and three CDC hand crews.
Hart says the cause was determined to be hot car exhaust in dry grass. No injuries were reported, damage was estimated at about $3600.
