Angels Camp, CA — The town of Angels Camp is gearing up for a weekend of festivities as Bret Harte High School throws its centennial celebration.
Organizer Carol Lee Kane says the fun begins this afternoon with a 2:00 parade through town starting at the St. Patrick´s Church parking lot.
The road will be closed during the parade, which will run from the church to downtown and end at Utica Park.
Other highlights of the celebration will include vintage cars carrying alumni, past homecoming queens and an open house at the Bret Harte theater tomorrow from 11 to 3.
Historical photos and a display will chart the history of the school since 1912. Several dignitaries will also be on hand.
The centennial celebration will run through Sunday.
