Community events to celebrate Easter are planned this weekend.
On Saturday, there will be a community Easter Egg Hunt at Westside Memorial Park, put on by the Tuolumne Park and Recreation District. There will be separate hunts, starting at 11 am, for ages five and under, six through nine, and 10-13. After the hunts, there will be special activities like games and a bounce house.
The annual Victorian Easter Celebration will take place on Sunday at Columbia State Historic Park. The parade starts at 1 pm along Main Street, and there will be egg hunts throughout the day for different age groups. Keep an eye out for Thaddeus E. Hare, who will be handing out goodies for the kids.
The Twain Harte Rotary will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday at 1 pm at Eproson Park. It is for kids up through 6th grade.
Copperopolis Town Square will host various activities between 10 am – 2 pm, including Easter Egg Hunts for various age categories.
There are also special events planned unrelated to the Easter holiday.
On Saturday, there will be the first annual “Wranglin Roundup” at the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Possegrounds in Jamestown. It was created for children with special needs to experience the excitement of a rodeo in a safe and supportive environment. Click here for more information.
