Update at 5:15 p.m.: PG&E reports that crews were forced to shut off power to make an urgent repair safely, as 299 customers remain without electricity this evening. There are two outages in the Midpines area of Mariposa County, along Highway 140. The utility has pushed back the estimated repair times for both. The biggest is impacting 247 customers with a repair time of 7 p.m., and the smaller one is 6 p.m. No cause has been revealed. More information on the outages can be viewed below.

Update at 1:25 p.m.: PG&E is reporting another outage in the Midpines area of Mariposa County this morning, bringing the total to nearly 300 customers. Around 6:30 a.m., 247 customers along Highway 140 lost their lights. The company gave a repair time of noon, which has been pushed back to 3 p.m. The second outage came just before 11 a.m., also along Highway 140. The utility reports that an additional 49 customers lost their electricity, for a total of 299 customers. No cause has been determined for either outage, and the repair time for the larger one is 3 p.m., and the smaller one is 2:30 p.m.

Original post at 11:26 a.m.: Midpines, CA—Nearly 250 PG&E customers woke up to no electricity this morning in the Midpines area.

The affected area is along Highway 140, with 247 customers impacted. The company confirms it is an unplanned outage. They relayed that a “team is evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs in order to safely turn the power back on.” Currently, a crew is inspecting and working to restore power, with an estimated repair time of noon.
