San Andreas, CA — A 26-year-old wanted man from Camp Connell was taken into custody this morning after an accident on Highway 4.
CHP says Richard Castillo was driving west on Highway 4 down the Utica Grade when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. Castillo traveled straight, and down a 60-foot embankment where he hit several oak trees and ended up on the Utica Power House Road.
While assisting the CHP at the scene the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department determined that Castillo had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Reports indicate the man may be facing several other charges relating to controlled substances.
