Jamestown, CA — A Galt man faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a hit-and-run investigation early Sunday morning.
CHP officers arrived at the Black Oak Casino shortly after 12:30 to find the suspect vehicle parked in the parking lot.
A report says the officers found 50-year-old Steven Colvin passed out in the passenger seat of the car. Colvin was apparently too intoxicated to be interviewed by the police.
Police say Colvin was arrested for public intoxication. A pat down search turned up a switchblade knife and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Officers searching the vehicle reportedly found a loaded .45 caliber handgun along with more than 97 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a scale and packaging materials. Colvin was booked into Tuolumne County Jail on $60,000 bail.
CHP says the driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Joshua Northrop of Sonora, was located inside the casino and arrested for DUI.
