San Andreas, CA — A challenge of Calaveras County´s Road Impact Mitigation fee will have to wait until next year.
The matter of developer Guy Meyers vs. the county was set for a five-day trial to begin Thursday but was continued at the request of Meyers´ attorney Ken Foley of San Andreas.
It turns out Foley has a calendar conflict, Calaveras Counsel Jim Jones said.
Meyers is suing the county for creating the countywide mitigation fee, which charges developers fees for their projects´ impact on local roads. He says the program is unconstitutional.
The case will be now heard February 23.
