Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Department of Behavioral Health is taking public input on the planning process for mental health services within the county.
Behavioral Health Director Bea Readel says the seven public forums will be held at various locations to help the department develop a plan to comply with Proposition 63, also known as the Mental Health Services act which was passed last November.
Readel says the department will also be talking to about 40 different organizations with a vested interest in what services are available to county residents.
Readel urges those who are concerned about direct services such as mental health treatment or substance abuse, or support services such as housing or education to call her department.
