Forecasters Warn Of Winter Weather Conditions

Sacramento, CA — Forecasters are warning residents of the Mother Lode of wet winter weather conditions over the next few days.

The National Weather Service says two systems are expected to spread snow in the mountains and rain in the valleys across the region for the rest of the week.

The first of those systems has moved in and is expected to bring intermittent amounts of precipitation into tomorrow.

Forecasters are expecting an additional one to three inches of snow at the 4500 foot level in the Sierras by this afternoon.

The next system is expected in the area Wednesday and will bring more rain, turning to snow in upper elevations, through Friday.

Travelers are encouraged to be prepared for winter conditions and check current conditions and forecasts before departure.
