White Pines, CA — The Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in White Pines will be shutting its doors this winter.
The newly completed museum opened in September of this year. It features 2,400 square feet of exhibits showcasing the history of logging in the Sierra Nevada. Also, outside the building sits a 1920 Shay locomotive.
Visitors have two more weeks to check out the museum before its winter closure. Hours are Thursday through Sunday noon to 4 p.m. through December 11.
Plans are to reopen in March.
