Don Pedro, CA — Although the rain has been lessoning the fire risk in the Mother Lode, CDF Spokesman Craig Harte says damp grass does not prevent car fires.
Dustin Harper´s Dodge Dakota burst into flames Saturday evening in the Don Pedro area. Harte says two engines responded and put out the blaze before 6:00pm.
CDF officials are estimating $15,000 in damage and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
