Valley Springs, CA — Developer Ryan Voorhees is being sued for breach of contract and elderly financial abuse.
Lee Phifer filed the suit in Calaveras County Superior Court November 15.
Phifer, whose property borders Voorhees´ Gold Creek Estates development in Valley Springs, says Voorhees, who bought the project in 2002, hasn´t fulfilled an agreement signed by the previous owners.
The lawsuit maintains that portions of Highway 26, which was widened by the project, encroach onto Phifer´s property. Also, Phifer says sewer and waterlines called for in the agreement were never built.
Voorhees maintains he has honored the agreement. He says Phifer deeded the road easements long before the agreement was in place and that the sewer and waterlines have been built.
The case will have a preliminary hearing December 20.
