Sonora, CA — Hundreds of people will line Washington St. tomorrow to get a free taste of Mutz´s beans.
Galen Mutzner “Mutt” says the 18th annual bean feed will take hours of preparation. Mutzner and his many helpers will start setting up at 5:00am near the Sportsman, downtown.
He plans to make more than 100 pounds of the beans complete with all the trimmings. Mutzner says it is his party and he does not accept donations, however last year he says they ended up with $75, which he took to the Red Cross.
The sound of the bell at noon will mark the start of the bean feed, which Mutzner says lasts until after 2:00pm.
