San Andreas, CA — Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital in San Andreas has awarded $36,000 to 48 local youth programs as part of its Endowment for Youth Program.
The money comes from the hospital´s Angels Camp and Valley Springs thrift stores.
Recipients must be not-for-profit, in Calaveras County and provide services to children up to age 18.
Thrift shop manager Diana Rodrigues said this was the most money ever given out and to the most number of groups ever.
