Be prepared ….your water bill might be going up 37 percent beginning in August.
The Tuolumne Utilities District will hold a public hearing tonight on a proposed residential water rate increase.
Water board members are sighting huge increases in costs for workers compensation, health insurance and new regulations from the state as the reason they want to increase rates by 37 percent
If the board votes in the rate hike…. the typical household´s bill will jump from around $23 a month to about $32 beginning in August.
The public hearing is at the TUD headquarters on Nugget Blvd. at 7 p.m. tonight.
