It´s a good day to play hooky and head to higher elevations.
Forecasters say today will be another scorcher with more record-setting temperatures expected throughout the Northern and Central regions of the state.
Temperatures are expected to hit the 90s — in some areas breaking records that were set nearly 40 years ago. According to the KCRA 3 TV Weather Center forecasters, the Mother Lode region will see high temperatures in the low to mid-90s today. Sonora is expecting to have a high of 92-degrees.
Even San Francisco won´t be spared from the heat. It´s expected to hit 90 degrees in the city.
Forecasters say the heat will continue through tomorrow, before it turns more seasonable on Wednesday and Thursday.
